School Bus Rules / Terms of Service

Every bus rider has some major responsibilities in terms of conduct when riding or waiting for your school bus.

    School Bus Rules:

    1. Be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.
    2. When waiting for the bus, stay back away from the curb or road.
    3. If it is necessary to cross the road in front of the bus, wait for the driver to signal you to cross and look both directions. DO NOT ENTER THE ROADWAY UNTIL YOUR DRIVER HAS SIGNALED YOU
    4. Go directly to your seat once you've boarded the bus. (Driver will assign seats)
    5. Once seated, you must remain in your seat. Moving about the bus while it is moving is prohibited.
    6. If windows are open, you must keep your hands, arm, and head inside the bus.
    7. No profanity or vulgar language, fighting, tripping, throwing, or excessive noise.
    8. Harassment or bullying of any kind towards another student or driver will not be tolerated.
    9. Vandalizing or damaging the bus or any property of Double 3 Transportation, will be paid for by the student (or guardian) doing the damage.
    10. For student privacy, no photos or videos may be captured inside the bus at any time without express written permission from Double 3 Transportation.
    11. No eating or drinking is permitted on the bus, with the exception of drinking water from a closed water bottle.
    12. The driver is the authority on the bus, and students are expected to follow instructions from the driver.
    13. If your child will not be riding on a specific day, please let us know ASAP. You may contact us by phone (920-563-3652), email (office@double3transportation.com), or by visiting our website to send us a message. If your student fails to ride the bus without notice 3 consecutive times, service to your address will be suspended until we speak with you.

Bus service for your student(s) is provided under the following terms:

    1. In-City bus transportation follows the School District of Fort Atkinson school calendar. If your school deviates from this calendar, you will need to provide your own transportation on those days unless other arrangements are made directly with Double 3 Transportation.
    2. The safety of your children is our primary concern. If your child does not follow the bus rules, they can lose their riding privilege.
    4. Service is provided as long as your account is in good standing. Failure to make any scheduled payments may result in suspension of service until your account is brought current. If you need to make a payment arrangement, please contact us.
    5. The school bus is considered to be an extension of the classroom; therefore, the School District requires students to conduct themselves while on the bus in a manner consistent with the established standards for classroom behavior.
    6. In cases when a student fails to conduct him/herself properly, the bus driver notifies the bus company of the misconduct, which in turn notifies the school district. Where continuing or extremely serious problems exist, the student’s bus-riding privileges may be suspended. Guidelines for proper notification of parents/guardians and due process have been established.
    7. It is the policy of Double 3 Transportation to provide equal opportunity for all persons and prevent discrimination and harassment.
    8. All Buses are equipped with video/audio recording for the primary purpose of reducing disciplinary problems and vandalism.
